  1. As a member of NAEYC for the past 4 years I am embarrassed to say I only glanced at the issues of YC Young Children that came in the mail. I am now seeing it as a valuable resource to keep up with the latest in ECE.

  2. I enjoyed reading the article in your additional resource post called, "Turning college students into leaders in early childhood education". I agree that as students in early childhood attend courses online and in lecture halls, they may not connect directly to the field because they are busy. The Early Childhood Club is great way for students to interact with each other, help fund raise, and get a deeper connection that fuses their passions with the realities of early childhood.

  3. From what I've learned and in my experience with working with people as a director you tend to get more of what you focus on. When redirecting both adults and children I do find that I have to think about how I am addressing an unwanted behavior or giving ownership of being responsible and respectful of environments and peers. But the long term effects of guidance in the implementation of rules has a much more postivie impact on people. It builds them up and fosters empathy. Thank you for sharing this article it is short and to the point. I will be putting it in my resource and tool bag.
